iPhone Questions: "What is the Meaning of Life?"

Think Again promo from Woodmen Valley Chapel on Vimeo.

What is the meaning of life?
The meaning of life is to glorify God. 1 Corinthians tells us, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

What does it mean to glorify God? How do we do that?
Glorifying God means to "Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor." ~1 Peter 2:17 (NIV). If we show respect to and love everyone, we can glorify God and what He has made.

Recently, a girl named Amanda Todd committed suicide. She made some poor decisions and was bullied beyond what she could handle. Why did she lose the meaning of life? She wasn't glorifying God to begin with. How would God have changed her story? She would have turned to Him and left her issues with God. God is the only one who can handle these issues, you can not do it alone.
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
~Matthew 6 (NIV)

iPhone Questions: "Is Jesus Really God?"

Think Again promo from Woodmen Valley Chapel on Vimeo.

Is Jesus really God?
Yes, Jesus really is God.

New believers should start with John. It's a good, easy book in the new testament to read that informs you about Jesus' life.
29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
~John 10 (NIV)
In Genesis 22,  Abraham sacrificing his son, Isaac, is a foreshadowing to what is later coming, when God sacrifices His son, Jesus.
